Roger Thompson

Roger Thompson is the Founder and CEO of 5XT Inc. and brings more than 25 years of leadership, logistics, and operational experience across military, international, and commercial environments.

Roger served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps, beginning his career as an enlisted infantry Marine and later earning a commission as a Logistics Officer. Throughout his career, he held increasingly senior leadership and operational roles responsible for personnel, transportation, fleet operations, readiness, procurement, sustainment, and the planning and execution of complex logistics requirements in the United States and overseas.

His experience includes leading hundreds of personnel, managing asset portfolios valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and planning and executing complex logistics operations across the United States, Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific, including high-risk and austere operational environments.

Roger has led operations where logistics directly affected mission success: moving and sustaining personnel and equipment, coordinating across military, government, commercial, and international organizations, and solving time-sensitive requirements in demanding environments.

Following his retirement from the Marine Corps, Roger founded 5XT and continued applying that experience through international logistics and operational work across numerous countries and theaters.

Roger brings a hands-on leadership style to 5XT and remains directly involved in developing solutions, building teams and partnerships, and ensuring customers have a clear and accountable path from requirement to execution.
